Mastering Deep Pressure Therapy
Our canine trainee is perfecting Deep Pressure Therapy (DPT) skills.
This therapy started in 1944 during WWII. The results are undeniable, very relaxing and therapeutic.
Many veterans benefit greatly from this and often have their service dogs trained with this skill set.
Deep pressure therapy (DPT) is a trainable task that involves a dog applying gentle, soothing pressure through its weight to help with anxiety, autism, and sensory disorders.
DPT is often taught to service dogs that assist autistic children. DPT can help reduce spasms or discomfort, and is well-documented clinically.
As you can see, Vox is eagerly awaiting his turn to learn this important technique!
